Kruger Shalati would like to announce a new vacant position in the capacity of Housekeeping Manager.

Are you passionate about service excellence, team leadership, and luxury hospitality? We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our dynamic team and uphold the highest standards in housekeeping and guest service.

Tasks (include but not limited to):

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping and laundry staff to maintain 5-star standards.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping systems, processes, and SOPs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and amenities.
  • Monitor and control department budgets, expenses, and cost-effective practices.
  • Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
  • Respond to guest requests, feedback, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to ensure timely room readiness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks across all areas.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with other departments to ensure effective lodge operations.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues or hazards.
  • Support and enforce security procedures, including guest property and room access protocols.
  • Uphold and reflect the values, vision, and standards of Kruger Shalati

Education:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • A Diploma in Accommodation Services, Hospitality, or Hotel Management is advantageous

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar management position within a 4/5-star hotel or lodge environment
  • Familiar with all housekeeping duties, procedures, and systems
  • Experience managing and leading a diverse team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Email)
  • Working knowledge of housekeeping management systems or PMS is advantageous
  • Third language is beneficial
